Welcome to Body & Soul
Linda Guttman, NCTMBThe mission of Body and Soul Massage Therapy & Spa is to deliver massage therapy in a caring, professional and ethical manner in order to promote health and well being. Linda's vision is to create a safe and nurturing environment for healing. She is committed to supporting people in defining and realizing their health goals.

Linda Guttman, NCTMB has practiced the art of massage therapy since 1986. Her holistic approach supports her belief in massage therapy as an effective tool for stress reduction and body awareness and acceptance. A graduate of the Massage Institute of New England, she is nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. Her specialties include Swedish and deep tissue massage, LaStone Therapy, Structural Integration, and Aromatherapy.

Having created a unique and thoughtfully composed environment in which to work, Linda is kinesthetically sensitive and aesthetically aware. All aspects of a person's comfort and well being are considered in her creation of a safe and comfortable setting for receiving massage.

The purpose of this site is to introduce you to Linda and give you a sense of how she incorporates different aspects of her life into her office and practice. There is also an abundance of information on benefits of massage therapy, different styles of work and visuals to help you get a look and feel for the space.

An interesting feature throughout the site are the images that Linda and her husband, Uri, have taken as part of their travels to the southwest. Their first trip was to New Mexico where they visited Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos and a few other small arts communities in northern New Mexico. A visit to
Ten Thousand Waves, a Japanese health spa in Santa Fe, inspired Linda to create a southwestern style in her office space. The rocky terrain and numerous gorges and rivers in the area give one a sense of inner peace and harmony. The colors, ranging from dusty golds to deep terra cotta with the dark green of evergreen trees create a stark beauty. In a subsequent trip to southern Utah, Linda and Uri visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The colors in this area vary slightly from those in northern New Mexico offering views of bright terra cotta hoodoos with distinct striations of color throughout. The ever-present green of the evergreens and contrasting white snow create a dramatic landscape.

At Body and Soul you will find these colors as well as images, contrasted by the sound of trickling water and a deep feeling of serenity. For more information on Linda, her specialties and her schedule, please review her bio by clicking
